DOHaD Trainee Development Opportunities & Upcoming Seminar

US x Canada DOHaD Trainee Tuesday!

We are excited to invite you to attend the joint seminar series, “Trainee Tuesday!” led by trainee representatives of DOHaD Canada and US DOHaD societies. These 30-minute seminars are held virtually every other month and include a 15-mintes presentation and a 15-minutes Q&A period.  They are designed to be a friendly space for you trainees to share your research at any stage of its development (from initial literature search to published work!) with your peers and PIs across North America and get feedback. Please let us know at communications@dohad.ca if you are interested in presenting at one of these sessions!

The next US DOHaD × DOHaD Canada Trainee Tuesday Seminar Series will take place on the second Tuesday of March at 2:00 PM CST and will be hosted by US DOHaD.

As part of this joint seminar series, we aim to showcase work and conversations that are engaging, informative, and relevant for trainees across disciplines and career stages. We are currently inviting speaker nominations for the March session.

We welcome talks from trainees, early-career researchers, or invited mentors on topics such as:

  • Current projects in your lab or research group

  • Ongoing or emerging DOHaD-related research

  • Opportunities for collaboration or mentorship

  • Career development, training pathways, or navigating research environments

  • Any themes or topics especially relevant to trainees

If you, or someone you know (e.g., a trainee, mentor, collaborator, or colleague), would be interested in speaking, please feel free to reach out. A brief description of the proposed topic is more than sufficient at this stage.

We look forward to another engaging session and to continuing this collaborative, trainee-focused effort with DOHaD Canada.

Warm regards,
The US DOHaD Society Trainee Representatives
